FAQ

Where do you deliver?

We deliver everywhere in Australia and New Zealand. Your order will normally be despatched the next working day.

You will receive an email advising that your order has been despatched, and you will receive another tracking email from our external couriers, to let you know where your order is in transit. We use external couriers who deliver on time 99% of the time.

We pack our orders in recycled cartons - there is no Diabetes branding.

Do I have to be home to accept delivery?

Not at all. It's a contactless delivery. Our couriers simply leave them in a safe place at your door. If you're in an apartment with limited access and don't have a doorman to accept delivery you will receive a card in your mail box to let you know where to pick up your order (usually the closest newsagent).

How big are the meals?

Each meal is a generous 350gm single serving size and has less than 420 calories, less than 40g carbohydrate and minimal or no added sugars and they are delicious on their own. You can also serve them on veggies, drained beans or our low carb pastas to make a smaller serving for 2 people.

Do you have meal plans?

Yes. We have a number of meal plans, including 3 meals a day, just lunch and dinner, or just meals. You can see them all here.

Are they frozen?

No, they are pressure cooked in the pouch, as this locks in the flavour and maximum nutritional content. Simply store in the pantry to enjoy as a healthy, super convenient meal. Our meals have a long shelf life.

You can place your order in one of 3 ways:

1. Place your order online here

2. Phone: 1300 798908 and have credit card handy

3. Email: info@diabetesmealsonline.com.au

How do I heat my meals?

Simply cut  or tear the corner of the pouch off to let out the steam and put the pouch in the microwave, or the contents of the pouch in a microwaveable bowl for 2-3 minutes depending on your microwave. Let cool for 2 minutes and enjoy! (You can also heat your meal in a saucepan on the stovetop if you prefer.

About our ready meals.

Our meals are made from the finest Australian farm fresh produce and are cooked and packaged in long-life, easy to store, easy-to-heat pouches, sealing in taste, texture, quality, aroma, and nutrition. This innovative process is called retort packaging and you may have seen them on supermarket shelves in the soup and baby food aisles. Retort packaging is an innovative form of meal packaging that uses heat and pressure to cook food in a strong sealed package. Similar to pressure cooking this process kills all commonly occurring microorganisms, preventing it from spoiling, and allowing it to be kept safely in the pantry (not the fridge).

The Diabetes Kitchen (previously Diabetes Meals Online) are proudly 100% Australian owned and operated and use only Aussie meat and veggies from our Aussie farmers.
